Le National de Rockland est fier d’annoncer que Jordan Prepszl s’est engagé au programme NCAA DIII de la SUNY Canton University pour la saison 2023-24.
Avant de joindre les rangs du National, Jordan a joué trois saisons dans la LHJQ avec les Rebelles de Sorel-Tracy. Né en 2002, le natif de Boucherville s’est joint au National dès le début de la saison, et ce, afin de finaliser sa carrière junior. En 55 matchs, Prepszl a marqué 10 buts et 21 mentions d’aides totalisant 31 points comme défenseur.
Avec de telles statistiques, il est évident que Jordan laisse sa marque dans la zone offensive. Son jeu en retrait de la rondelle, en mode défensif est tout aussi important sinon plus! Prepszl démontre une bonne lecture du jeu, s’adapte facilement à la situation et n’hésite pas à utiliser son jeu physique. De plus, il démontre un excellent maniement de la rondelle, du sang froid lors de sa possession et une vision continue de la rondelle ce qui en fait un excellent défenseur autant en défensive qu’en offensive ! Voilà pourquoi on retrouve souvent Jordan sur la glace contre les meilleurs joueurs de l’équipe adverse. Très souvent, on l’aperçoit défaire le jeu offensif de l’adversaire pour ensuite mener la prochaine attaque et la rondelle se trouve rapidement en zone offensive.

The Rockland Nationals are pleased to announce that Jordan Prepszl has committed to SUNY Canton division III NCAA for the 2023-24 season.
Prior to the Nationals, Jordan spent 3 season in the QCHL with the Sorel-Tracy Rebelles. Prepszl a 2002 Boucherville, QC native joined the Rockland Nats at the start of the season to finish off his final year of his junior career. In 55 games played, Prepzsl scored 10 goals and 21 assists for a total of 31 points as a defenseman.
With numbers like that, there’s no denying Jordan’s able to leave his mark in the offensive zone but his game away from the puck, more specifically in the defensive zone, is just as impactful if not more! Prepszl has great situational awareness, he controls the gap nicely, and isn’t shy to play physical. On top of that, he’s got great puck skills, poise on carries, and elite puck vision, making him a very well rounded two-way defenseman. For those reasons, you’ll often see Jordan on the ice against the opposing top players. One second he’s defending the opposing rush and next thing you know he’s leading the breakout off the transition and the puck is already up the ice.
