Sean Storr came up big, stopping 32 of 34 shots throughout the game. The Rockland Nationals took the lead before the halfway point in the second on a goal from Mathieu Blanchette.
During the first period, Beatty opened the scoring for Rockland with a goal at 3:14 with assists from his linemates, Boyer and Coykendall. Maurovic quickly followed with a goal at 4:49 with helpers from his linemates, Kennedy and Elder.
In the second, Blanchette netted what turned out to be the game winning goal at 12:07 with assists from his teammates Keating and Robert.
In the third, Coltart finally put Smiths Falls on the board with a goal at 1:32 with helpers from Gibson and Lalonde. Dicarlo scored a goal at 17:45 with an assist from Larabie.
The Nationals’ victory was in no doubt helped out by Storr’s big night as he stopped 32 of the 34 shots he faced. On the other hand, Storr’s counterpart, Dobson, and the Bears’ defense did not have such a great night allowing 3 goals in 21 shots.
This win brings the Rockland Nationals’ record to (26-27-2-2).
