William Collins did his part, adding 3 points (2 goals, 1 assist) and Simon Labelle contributed with 2 points (1 goal, 1 assist). Jesse Dick chipped in with 2 points (1 goal, 1 assist).
During the first period, Collins opened the scoring for Rockland with a goal at 6:56 with helpers from his teammates Labelle and Matton. Robert netted a goal at 10:49 with helpers from Hilton and Vermaeten. Labelle deposited a goal at 13:29 with assists from his linemates, Craft and Collins. Collins scored what turned out to be the game winning goal at 15:57 with assists from his linemates, Boyer and Menges.
In the second period, Fry “c” finally put the 73’s on the board with a goal at 14:44 with a helper from defenseman Patterson. Dick quickly followed with a goal at 15:13.
During the third, Thousand “a” netted a goal at 13:55 with helpers from Dick and Mclean.
The Nationals’ victory was in no doubt helped out by Giacobbo as he stopped 16 of the 19 shots he faced. Giacobbo’s counterpart, Bond, also had a big night, managing to stop 9 of 13, but ultimately fell short.
This win brings the Rockland Nationals’ record to (8-5-1-0).
