The Rockland Nationals' offense had a big night, peppering the Navan Grads with 32 shots throughout the game. The Rockland Nationals took the lead before the halfway point in the second on a goal from Josh Péladeau.
During the second period, Boyer opened the scoring for Rockland with a goal at 8:08 with helpers from Labelle and Lafrance. Péladeau put in what turned out to be the game winning goal at 10:10. Pruneau quickly followed with a goal at 11:39 with assists from his linemates, Scrivens and Shields ‘c’. Searles finally put Navan on the board with a goal at 14:51 with helpers from Way ‘a’ and Hoffman.
In the third period, Robert answered for the Nationals with a goal at 19:09 with an assist from his teammate Vermaeten.
Rockland’s victory was in no doubt helped out by Giacobbo’s big night as he stopped 29 of the 30 shots he faced. Giacobbo’s counterpart, Carter, also had a big night, managing to stop 28 of 31, but ultimately fell short.
This win brings the Rockland Nationals’ record to (5-5-1-0).
