During the first period, Gosselin opened the scoring for Rockland with a goal at 1:46 with helpers from his linemates, Leblanc and Robert. Blanchette put in what turned out to be the game winning goal at 19:15 with helpers from his linemates, Robert and Kennedy.
During the second, Vermaeten scored a goal at 0:41 with an assist from Leblanc. Mcgrath ‘a’finally put Navan on the board with a goal at 7:04 with helpers from Sanders and Denis. Robert answered for Rockland with a goal at 11:02 with assists from his linemates, Elder and Blanchette.
The Nationals’ victory was in no doubt helped out by Storr as he stopped 21 of the 22 shots he faced. Storr’s counterpart, Carter, also had a big night, managing to stop 39 of 43, but ultimately fell short.
